Glowpoint to Showcase HD over IP Broadcast Solution At
the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show
HILLSIDE, NJ. April 21, 2006 -- Glowpoint, Inc. (OTC:GLOW.PK), the worlds leading broadcast-quality IP-based video communications service provider, announced the live demonstration of a ground-breaking High Definition (HD) IP video communications solution in the Sony Booth at this years NAB show on April 24-27 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The solution combines Sonys state-of-the-art line of IPELA HD visual communication system with Glowpoints patent-pending advanced IP-based video applications and network services to deliver complete and reliable HD video content captured over a dedicated IP network for Broadcasters.
Glowpoint and Sony are primarily focusing on the Broadcast sector, which has proven to be one of the most successful aspects of the relationship. In addition to showcasing the combined solution at the NAB show, Glowpoint is providing the IP connectivity over their QoS network to the Ballys Hotel for the Sony press conference to take place on Sunday, April 23. A live HD demonstration will be part of the press conference, where talent from a major sports network will talk to the crowd using Sony HD visual communications equipment connected between a location on the east coast and the hotel over the Glowpoint network.
