GLOWPOINT SELECTED FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR TO PROVIDE BROADCAST SERVICES FOR NBA DRAFT


Client earns Emmy for use of Glowpoint in 2005 Draft

 

HILLSIDE, NJ. June 27, 2006 -- Glowpoint, Inc. (OTC:GLOW .PK), a world leading broadcast-quality IP-based video managed service provider, announced today that it has been selected by a leading sports television network, for a third consecutive year, to provide two-way video interviews during the upcoming NBA Draft. The use of Glowpoints technology during last years event earned the Broadcaster an Emmy for innovative use of technology.

 

During the live event, to be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City on June 28, on-air personalities will conduct interviews with team coaches, players, and other key personnel - located at 17 remote team locations throughout the country - using Glowpoints broadcast-quality, IP-based service.  Mike Brandofino, Glowpoints president and CEO, said our reliability, quality, and managed services expertise enables us to be selected year after year to support these high profile events. Additionally, its very exciting that our technology led to an Emmy win for one of our clients.

 

The IP-based broadcasting solution will utilize Glowpoints IP-based video communication services to capture and air real-time interviews.  NBA team representatives located at remote locations throughout the country will connect to the stations main studio in Bristol, Connecticut via the Glowpoint service.
