Glowpoint Launches First HD Managed and On-Demand Multi-Point Conferencing Service

HILLSIDE, N.J. February 15, 2007 Glowpoint, Inc. (OTC:GLOW.PK), a leading broadcast-quality, IP-based managed video service provider, announced that it has launched the industrys first high definition (HD) combined managed and on-demand multi-point conferencing service. The new service incorporates Glowpoints current fully-managed scheduled white-glove offering and on-demand service that enables unassisted HD multi-point calling using a unique access code provided to each customer as part of the standard Glowpoint service package.

Glowpoints managed conferencing infrastructure currently contains technology from all of the leading manufacturers, and the first HD solution put into production involves RADVISIONs SCOPIA MCUs and Polycom MCUs. Additionally, Glowpoint is in the process of evaluating the TANDBERG MPS MCU technology in Glowpoints lab environment and expects to roll that out in the near future.

Glowpoint is well positioned to take advantage of the latest advancements in HD video technology. The requirement of increased high-quality bandwidth to support HD fits the Glowpoint service offering model well, said Joe Laezza, Glowpoints Chief Operating Officer. We have seen plenty of interest and numerous inquiries for the addition of HD services to our offerings, and feel this provides the flexibility we need to support a variety of HD video systems.

Glowpoint offers multi-point video conferencing services to customers around the globe by leveraging the Glowpoint network and multi-point control units (MCUs) that are deployed in the U.S. and Europe. Glowpoint offers a variety of multi-point conferencing services from fully-managed to unassisted bridging on demand using Glowpoints own internally developed web-based scheduling tool called Quickbridge. Glowpoints managed services are used by several Fortune 100 firms, federal and local governments, and a host of legal and professional service firms around the world.
