Glowpoint Partners With the Whitlock Group Landing Deal Worth More Than $600,000
Multi-year contract signed with Texas-based energy company
HILLSIDE, N.J. August 7, 2007 Glowpoint, Inc. (OTC:GLOW.PK), a premiere broadcast-quality, IP-based managed video services provider, and The Whitlock Group, a systems integration firm and Glowpoint channel partner, announced that they have secured a multi-year deal with a Texas-based energy company to provide a service solution for their video communication needs. The customer, a competitive power generation business with mining, wholesale marketing, trading, construction, and development operations, will leverage Glowpoints services at eight of its locations. In addition, Glowpoint will provide hosting and remote management services for a customer-owned multi-point bridge.
Partnering with Glowpoint has given us the ability to provide a complete solution to our customers, said Roger Patrick, chief operating officer of The Whitlock Group. Our ability to combine video equipment and integration services with managed video services has opened up numerous opportunities and provides us a competitive advantage, as well as a nice recurring revenue source.
The Whitlock Group was awarded Glowpoints Channel Partner of the Year in 2006 and with good reason, said Mike Brandofino, Glowpoints president and CEO. Their solutions-oriented team works very well with the Glowpoint team, and we have won a number of great opportunities by combining our strengths. We look forward to more deals like this in the coming quarters.
