Glowpoint Secures Remote Sports Analyst Contract Worth More Than $500K

Remote-CamHD replaces satellite feeds for major sports network

HILLSIDE, N.J. October 4, 2007 Glowpoint, Inc. (OTCBB: GLOW), a premiere, broadcast-quality, IP-based managed video services provider, announced that it will be providing a high definition (HD) remote analyst solution for a major sports network, with an initial term of two years. The customer will leverage Glowpoints Remote-CamHD at six remote locations, including analysts homes and a location in the UK to cover international sports. The services include the deployment of Glowpoints high-quality network connectivity along with a full range of managed video services. The broadcaster will leverage Glowpoints cost-effective services in order to do interviews instantaneously with analysts and sports figures by using HD video conferencing technology across the Glowpoint network - without the advance scheduling and time-slot restrictions typically associated with satellite transmissions.

Glowpoint is becoming a known brand in the broadcast industry, and many production engineers now refer to using the Remote-CamHD solution as doing a Glowpoint, said Mike Brandofino, Glowpoints president and CEO. Its great to see customers, who formerly used us only for events, find reasons to permanently include the Glowpoint solution in their normal production schedule.

We are starting to see an ecosystem develop around the use of the Glowpoint service, in which we are chosen as the connecting point for owners of content and distributors of content, Mr. Brandofino continued. This puts Glowpoint in a perfect position to benefit from the growing demand for live interactive HD content.

Glowpoint provides IP-based broadcast solutions for national networks and cable TV providers to enable on-demand content acquisition from fixed remote locations. Glowpoints always on, exclusive video network connectivity reduces transport costs by up to 80 percent as compared to traditional satellite feeds.
