GLOWPOINT TO PARTICIPATE IN HOLIDAY “FREEDOM CALLS” TO THE TROOPS

In conjunction with its partners MSpace and TANDBERG, seven locations provided across the nation for families to place video calls to their loved ones deployed in Iraq

December 3, 2007 – Glowpoint, along with partners MSpace and TANDBERG, announced today that they will partner with the Freedom Calls Foundation, a non-profit organization, to provide free videoconferences for military families in the U.S. with their loved ones stationed in Iraq on Thursday, December 13, 2007 over the Freedom Calls satellite network. The combined effort is titled, “Mission: See Your Soldier.”

Country music icon and military supporter Charlie Daniels traveled abroad in 2005 and 2006 visiting Iraq and Kuwait to perform for U.S. Troops as part of the Stars for Stripes tour. During the 2006 tour, while The CDB was performing at some of the camps that will host the videoconferencing, the shows were recorded for the Blue Hat/Koch Records release Live From Iraq which contains a DVD of never before seen footage from Iraq. “I am deeply honored that I will be able to take part in the “Mission: See Your Soldier” project and make video calls to the troops stationed in Iraq. I am happy to be a part of bringing families together at Christmas time especially when their loved ones are so far away protecting our country and our freedom,” says Daniels.

Families in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Georgia, Texas, Minnesota, and California will have the chance to visit – face-to-face – with their deployed loved one in a private, 30-minute “See Your Soldier” videoconference at Freedom Calls Centers located at five military installations in Iraq: Camp Al Asad, Camp Taji, Camp Fallujah, Camp Victory (limited capability), and Camp Taqaddum.
