Glowpoint Expands Sales and Marketing

Industry Veterans Tapped to Join Glowpoint

HILLSIDE, N.J. January 10, 2008 Glowpoint, Inc. (OTC:GLOW), a leading IP-based managed video service provider, announced today that it is expanding its sales and marketing teams as part of its 2008 growth plan. Jonathan Brust, most recently with The Feedroom, is joining the company as Vice President, Marketing and Business Development and Mary Friel, from Verizon Business, is joining as Territory Director of Sales for the Northeast Region.

Additionally, the company has added two Territory Directors; Dallas-based Dave Moore, a former Sales Director with Cistera Networks and Nortel Networks, and Chicago-based Larry Smagacz, who has held National Sales Director positions with Providea, Tandberg and Polycom.

We start 2008 in a very good position. It is the first time we are free of the burden of excessive auditing expenses and comfortable with our cash position, said Michael Brandofino, President and CEO. This allows us to focus our resources, both human and capital, on growing the business. With the increased demand of telepresence and High Definition (HD) technologies, the video communications industry is poised to experience explosive growth, and with our full suite of services supporting conferencing, telepresence, broadcast and video call center applications, we are well positioned to grow along with the industry. The addition of these experienced and talented professionals will help us get involved in many more opportunities to capitalize on these conditions. The goal is to build on the momentum we established in 2007 and continue to grow, while staying focused on achieving cash flow positive in the near term.

Mr. Brust comes to Glowpoint after having held senior positions in Marketing and Sales in the video industry, most recently with New York-based The FeedRoom and VIDITalk, Inc. Mr. Brust also founded and served as Chief Executive of SwingCam, Inc., a video analysis company focused in the sports industry. In addition to leading Glowpoints marketing efforts, Mr. Brust will be responsible for building and managing channel partner relationships and expanding business opportunities related to Glowpoints telepresence VNOC services, where a service agreement was recently announced with a major video conferencing equipment manufacturer.

We experienced tremendous growth in 2007 in our channel programs, with more than 40% of new business coming from our partners, said Joe Laezza, Chief Operating Officer. Our goal is to expand on this growth and leverage new relationships as quickly as possible. Jonathan will play a key role in enhancing our messaging and working directly with our partners to strengthen market share.

Mary Friel is joining Glowpoint after 15 years with MCI, now Verizon Business. At Verizon Business, Ms. Friel was a Global Collaboration Specialist responsible for the conferencing collaboration solutions for many of the largest companies in the world. Her experience in securing and managing business with large companies will bring a new dimension to Glowpoints sales efforts. Ms. Friel will be responsible for the Northeast Region Sales and Account Management leadership.

We learned after winning the Phillip Morris account in 2007, that in order to continue to win big name accounts we would need to attract some star players with large account experience, said Martin Monson, Vice President of Sales. Marys proven track record of winning significant business deals and her reputation in the industry is invaluable towards increasing our stature as the provider of choice to Fortune 500 companies around the world. With Mary, Larry and Dave on board, we are well positioned to take full advantage of the opportunities that are presenting themselves to us.
