KBZ Wins Glowpoint Channel Partner of the Year Award for 2007
HILLSIDE, N.J. January 24, 2008 Glowpoint, Inc. (OTC:GLOW), a leading broadcast-quality, IP-based managed video services provider announced today that KBZ, one of only 4 Tandberg Master distributors in the United States, has won Glowpoints 2007 Channel Partner of the Year award. KBZ, who recently announced that their coverage was just increased by Tandberg to include the entire east coast, led all Glowpoint Channel Partners in sales for the year.
Glowpoint issues awards each year for its Channel Partner program, including top revenue producer, Shared Vision, top 5 revenue producers and the Rookie of the Year, for the fastest growing new partner for the year. The awards program was first implemented in 2006 in recognition of our partners contribution to our growth. In 2006 our channel partners represented roughly 25% of our closed deals and in 2007 this grew to over 40%. KBZ was a big part of that growth. said Glowpoints COO Joe Laezza. What makes this even more impressive is that KBZ joined us as a partner only midway through the year and they were able to bring Glowpoint into immediate opportunities. KBZ is a superior force in the video industry and we are very proud of this relationship.
We have been looking for ways to drive a recurring revenue stream and establish a sticky relationship with customers. Glowpoints services allow us to stay fully engaged with our customers every month and their service is what truly makes the total solution work, said Ken Zorzi, KBZs president.
Glowpoints Channel Partner program enables its partners to sell Glowpoint services to their customer base and be rewarded with revenue share programs. In 2007, Glowpoint partnered with three out of the four Tandberg Master Distributors in the United States and is focused on expanding this further in 2008, said Glowpoints Global Director of Channel Sales, Sean Juarez. 2007 proved to be great year for our Channel Program and now with the growing adoption of telepresence and HD technologies, our services become even more critical to our partners as they deploy these solutions.
