Glowpoint Managed Multi-Point Video Services selected by top 100 Law Firm
New customer driving over $30K per month helping fuel record growth in Multi-Point Services Revenue
HILLSIDE, N.J. February 19, 2008 Glowpoint, Inc. (OTC:GLOW), a leading provider of broadcast-quality, IP-based managed video communications services announced that another Top 100 law firm has selected Glowpoint for managed multi-point video services. Glowpoint will provide multi-point video services for the video systems at the law firms 17 locations around the world and reflects Glowpoints continued strength in the legal sector. Currently, Glowpoint has over 45 customers in the legal sector, of which more than 20 are among the largest 100 firms in the United States, as ranked by Internet Legal Research Group in 2008.
Glowpoints managed multi-point video service enables customers, including large law firms with multiple offices, to communicate seamlessly using any number of different video conferencing platforms. Lawyers can schedule video conferences with clients, colleagues or adversaries through Glowpoint, and be connected from across the country or around the world irrespective of the brand of video conferencing technology in use at each location. Glowpoints powerful bridging technology enables lawyers to increase productivity and billings, while reducing travel and costs.
Michael Brandofino, Glowpoints president and chief executive officer, commented, Revenue from our multi-point bridging services is one of our core revenue streams for 2008 and an area we look to for growth. Multi-point service revenue has shown early growth in 2008, with the first two months growing over 25% as compared with the first two months of last year.
Additionally, Glowpoint has deployed the Polycom RMX HD multi-point bridge, which is enabling Glowpoint to support high definition managed multi-point video calls.
Customers are increasingly turning to advanced technology in the pursuit of HD and Telepresence, Mr. Brandofino added. The deployment of the Polycom RMX HD Bridge enables Glowpoint to support these customers with state-of-the-art video quality in a seamless fashion. This bridge will be integral in supporting our Telepresence VNOC services for Polycom RPX and TPX rooms and establishing Glowpoint as a primary Telepresence Exchange Service, enabling Telepresence users from different companies and on different networks to hold Telepresence point to point and multi-point meetings.
