VBrick Partners with Glowpoint to Deliver Live Internet TV Service

VBricks VBoss Solution and Glowpoints Managed Network Services to provide plug and play live Internet TV capability. Live demo from the NAB show broadcast to Glowpoint.com/tv

WALLINGFORD, Conn. April 11, 2008 VBrick Systems, Inc., the industry leader in online networked video, today announced a partnership with Glowpoint (OTC BB:GLOW), empowering the broadcast and management of live events over the Internet. Under the terms of the agreement, both Glowpoint and VBrick will promote and sell a bundled service combining the VBrick Online Streaming Service (VBoss) and Glowpoints Quality of Service (QOS) Managed Video Network Services. The combined solution creates a unique plug and play capability for customers to manage and monetize video content and leverage the power of Internet distribution by making it very easy for them to distribute live and on-demand video on the Internet in their own branded Internet TV.

Glowpoint has extensive experience in providing services to the broadcast industry for live two-way HD interviews. This new bundled solution will allow Glowpoint to expand beyond two-way services and help its customer easily create and distribute content captured using the Glowpoint network to the Internet on the VBoss platform. The general release of this product offering is targeted for June.

Our broadcast and enterprise customers have been asking us for ways to help them address the challenge and complexity of getting quality content for broadband distribution. We looked at a number of options but ultimately chose VBrick because of the companys long-standing leadership in creating video streaming solutions, said Mike Brandofino, chief executive office of Glowpoint.  The VBrick Online Streaming Service is a truly innovative, easy-to-use solution which enables us to offer a complete end-to-end solution that will provide our customers the ability to broadcast their events live over the Internet using a simple media management tool. This new service essentially gives every customer the ability to create their own on-line IP TV channel.

Mr. Brandofino continued, We expect to sell this innovative offering as a monthly recurring service and while specific details have not yet been finalized, we anticipate incorporating revenue sharing based on a reciprocal resale agreement with VBrick. The agreement also contemplates the opportunity for Glowpoint to provide additional managed services to other VBrick resellers, extending this important relationship.

The VBrick Online Streaming Service enables enterprises to maintain business control while creating engaging Internet TV programming. End-users are given their own VBoss account and designated Media Management capabilities that allow them to have the power of channel brand ownership and content creation. By adding other systems elements to the video appliance, such as network storage and reflectors for bandwidth amplification, VBrick can provide a complete system known as VBoss. Combined with the QOS assurance of Glowpoint Network Access the combined solution will create more reliability in a market craving dependability.

Glowpoint is the leader in bringing broadcast-quality images to the enterprise, said Vince Graziani, chief executive officer, VBrick Systems, Inc. Partnering with VBrick, Glowpoint is now positioned to not only provide high-quality broadcast images but also give its customers the added benefits of live video, said Graziani.

VBoss is the only complete Internet TV solution that allows enterprises to broadcast live video. The VBoss solution allows end-users to stream, manage, monetize and deliver video content on the public Internet. The package includes live video capture hardware, the VBoss Media Management Console, streaming bandwidth, video storage, monetizing tools, reporting tools, community building features and distribution partnerships to increase viewership.

There will be a live demonstration at Glowpoints booth (#SU13510) at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show. Live HD content, starting Tuesday, April 15th will be broadcast from the show floor and streamed directly to the Internet at www.glowpoint.com/TV demonstrating the capabilities of the HD video content streamed over the VBoss platform.
