Glowpoint Advances its IP-Based Interactive Broadcasting Service with Full HD, 60-Fields, Two-way Broadcast Capabilities

Partners with VBrick to address IPTV complexity and will demonstrate Glowpoint Live at National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show in Las Vegas on April 15

HILLSIDE, N.J. April 14, 2008 Glowpoint, Inc.(OTC:GLOW.OB), a leading provider of broadcast-quality, IP-based managed video communications services today announced it is expanding its suite of services targeting the Broadcast and Video Media space and will showcase new capabilities at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show this week in Las Vegas. Glowpoint established the market for IP-based Interactive Broadcasting enabling real-time, two-way feeds between a studio and remote talent and will be enhancing its HD service offering to include 60 fields (in either 1080i or 720p). In addition, the Company will showcase its new Internet TV broadcasting service, called Glowpoint Live. The service which will be generally available in June 2008, will enable a plug-and-play capability for embedded stream encoding services and full Quality of Service (QoS) from the content acquisition through to the reflector site at the Content Deliver Network (CDN).

Glowpoint provides IP-based broadcast solutions for leading sports broadcasters, sports leagues, cable stations and collegiate conferences. Glowpoints always-on, exclusive video network connectivity reduces transport costs by up to 80% as compared to traditional satellite feeds while providing real-time communications almost always delivered two-up in live broadcast applications. As they have done since 2003, Glowpoint will be enabling producers to deliver the teams perspective on their picks using its interactive broadcast service for the 2008 NFL and NBA drafts. Glowpoint also powers Team Cam for NFL Network, Campus Cam for the Mountain West Sports Network as well as for Big Ten Networks.

Michael Brandofino, Glowpoints chief executive officer, commented, Our ability to support video in mission critical live applications is one reason why organizations like NFL Network, Big Ten Network and others have been utilizing Glowpoints real-time, two-way SD/HD communications instead of satellite feeds to do interviews with players, coaches, owners and analysts. This is due to our operational capabilities and quality of our network offering as well as the cost performance benefits. Broadcast continues to be a key growth sector for us with an impressive 137% growth in revenue for 2007.

Last week Glowpoint announced an alliance with VBrick Systems to advance the state of the art in Internet Broadcasting. Glowpoint Live will be a bundled service combining Glowpoints QoS Network and Managed Services with VBricks recently announced VBoss (VBrick Online Streaming Service). Glowpoint and VBrick will showcase the new service during live presentations in their respective booths throughout the show.

Were intent on addressing a key problem that has yet to be solved in Internet Broadcasting and thats the primary network link between a stream encoder and the reflector on the CDN, said Dan Boland, Vice President Broadcast and Digital Media. Were simply applying the same QoS expertise that we apply in on-air broadcasting to internet transmissions.

Glowpoint will be demonstrating Interactive HD 60-field Broadcasting and on-net VBoss solutions in booth #SU13510.
